ABsolute Workplace Solutions is led by highly experienced legal practitioners and advisors with significant expertise in employment and industrial relations.

Ariane McGing

Principal & Legal Counsel

After completing her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology Sydney, Ariane has worked as a solicitor since 2012 in a range of practice areas, including property, banking, and consumer law, but primarily in commercial and employment law since 2014.

At ABWS, in addition to providing advisory services on matters of complexity, Ariane manages industrial relations disputes, including unfair dismissals, general protection disputes and contractual disputes.

Providing commercially minded and tailored legal advice to businesses, Ariane regularly negotiates, drafts and advises on employment related documents such as contracts of employment, service agreements and workplace policies, as well as correspondence on behalf of employer clients. She also assists clients with compliance, performance management and managing workplace disputes and protection of confidential information and intellectual property.

Belinda Russell

Principal & Legal Counsel

Belinda completed a Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree at the University of Technology Sydney in 2003. In 2006/07, as recipient of the British Chevening Scholarship, Belinda completed her Master of Law (LLM) degree at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and then proceeded to work at Accenture in its Strategy & Consulting division.

Belinda completed a Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree at the University of Technology Sydney in 2003. In 2006/07, as recipient of the British Chevening Scholarship, Belinda completed her Master of Law (LLM) degree at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and then proceeded to work at Accenture in its Strategy & Consulting division.

Belinda assists clients with employment-related documents such as workplace policies and procedures, contracts of employment, contractor agreements and others.

Belinda can advise on the Fair Work Act, Work Health and Safety laws, and other Federal and State legislation and regulations, and industrial instruments and she has a strong interest in risk and compliance.

Belinda has taken the lead role in various enterprise bargaining negotiations on behalf of the employer for mid to larger sized organisations in health and aged care sectors, successfully overseeing the drafting, filing and approval of these agreements.

Belinda has sensitively handled several underpayment of wages matters directly with the Fair Work Ombudsman.

Leana Street – Patron

Leana Street, Patron, is the former Director of Leana Street Consulting Pty Limited. With over 30 years’ experience in ER/HR and strong industry knowledge and connections, including with many members of ACCPA.

In 1994, Leana established LSC as a one stop employment shop offering everything from executive recruitment to advice on termination and all that occurs in the employment relationship, including advice on award and enterprise agreement interpretation, enterprise agreement negotiation and advice to employers on how best to manage performance and conduct issues with employees.

 

In January 2025, Leana retired and Leana Street Consulting Pty Ltd ceased trading, and Ariane and Belinda took carriage of all LSC client matters under the newly formed ABsolute Workplace Solutions Pty Ltd.
